Students in this Costa Rica Yoga Teacher Training will study intelligent alignment and the benefits and potential risks of foundational yoga postures. The curriculum includes anatomy as it applies to movement, the science and art of sequencing, and how to adapt practices for different bodies and energy levels.
Training also includes pranayama and meditation, hands-on adjustments with consent, observation skills, and refinement of the teaching voice. Yoga philosophy, history, and Sanskrit are presented in an accessible way, alongside conversations around ethics, cultural context, and the evolution of modern yoga.
Teaching Methodology & Practice Teaching
Teaching methodology is experiential and mentorship-based. Students build confidence through guided practice teaching, learning how to hold space, offer clear cues, and respond to students in real time.
The focus is on developing authenticity rather than performance, supporting each student in discovering how they naturally teach and communicate yoga.
Training Structure & Certification
This Costa Rica Yoga Teacher Training is a 200-hour program consisting of immersive in-person training supported by guided study. The curriculum includes 160 hours in-person focusing on the physical practice of: asana, pranayama, meditation, teaching techniques, hands-on adjustments, Reiki integration
The remaining 40 hours are completed online at your own pace and cover anatomy, yoga philosophy, cultural appropriation, and the ethics and evolution of modern yoga. Topics we also weave into our in-person conversations.
Graduates receive a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training certificate, with a Reiki certification and Embodiment Certification integrated into the program.
